Reminder about four events coming up this weekend and Monday.

We’re all busy, we’ve all got a lot on our minds. No pressure to attend all the things!

Friday, November 11th at 9:00am: Meet at Memorial UNION info desk.  Join TLAM for a tour of Native American historical sites on UW-Madison’s campus with Rebecca Comfort! These promise to be very fun and informational. Both tours leave from the Memorial Union information desk.

Friday, November 11th at 4:00pm: SLIS Bunge Room. ALA-SC hosting Coffee with a Proffee: an opportunity to talk in a relaxed, laid-back setting with people working in the field. Coffee with a Proffee on November 11 will be with Tammy Pineda, Youth Services Manager at Madison Public Library. Tammy is coming to talk community-based programming, including her enormously popular Spanish Language Childrens’ Programming with MPL. Come join us for a little coffee and chit-chat!

Saturday, November 12th at 12pm: Wisconsin Historical Museum, 30 N Carroll Street (at the end of State St. near the Capitol). Assistant Curator, Angela Glasker, will give a tour of the Native American history floor at the WHM. Angie and Katie will talk about how the WHS and WHM work together and the unique challenge of working with the Native American history collections. Katie will talk about the practicum/internship opportunity at the WHM for SLIS students.

Monday, November 14th at 6pm: SLIS Bunge Room Recent SLIS graduate job panel. Come talk to recent SLIS grads and ask them about their experience applying for jobs while in grad school, interviews, tips and advice! Snacks provided by SLIS.
